A system that meets you
where you are

Why this exists, and what we believe.

Action Tether exists because most productivity software is built for brains that don’t need it. Plan perfectly, execute linearly, review calmly — great, if you can. If you have ADHD, that model isn’t just unhelpful; it’s a machine for generating shame.

We started from a different premise: the system should meet you where you are. Behind? It helps you triage, not catch up on everything. Low energy? It surfaces the two easy wins, not the mountain. Avoiding something for three weeks? It coaches instead of nags. Haven’t texted your sister in a month? It mentions her gently, once.

What we believe

  • A friend, not a system. The assistant in your DMs talks like a person who knows you — it remembers your week, varies its voice, and backs off when you tune it out.
  • No shame mechanics. Overdue tasks don’t turn red and scream. Completions go on the record; failures just… get rescheduled.
  • Done is better than perfect. Every task can carry a “good enough” standard, because the ADHD tax is usually paid at 95%.
  • Relationships count as much as deadlines. Time-blindness eats friendships too. We treat people as first-class citizens, not a contacts list.

Who builds this

Action Tether is independently built and run — no venture capital, no growth team, no engagement metrics to juice. It gets better because people who use it say what’s broken, and then it gets fixed. Usually quickly.
