Every feature built around
how ADHD actually works

No JIRA. No nested projects. Just a system that meets you where you are.

Your day, in order

Check your energy in the morning — full, some, or low. Today’s Plan surfaces tasks that match. Calendar events show as fixed blocks. Free gaps appear automatically so you can see exactly where work fits. One-tap scheduling snaps tasks into those gaps.

  • ✓ Energy check-in filters the task stack
  • ✓ Free blocks calculated around calendar events
  • ✓ Snap-to-free-block scheduling
  • ✓ Quick win section (≤10 min tasks)
  • ✓ Approaching deadline alerts

Coaching when you've snoozed too many times

After 3 snoozes, Action Tether doesn't nag — it coaches. Four paths appear: Split it into smaller steps, Delegate it to someone else, Defer it with a real date, or Delete it entirely. Scary tasks get extra warmth. AI adds a fifth path: think it through in a conversation that understands why ADHD makes things hard.

  • ✓ Configurable snooze threshold (default: 3)
  • ✓ Scary task flag with adjusted coaching copy
  • ✓ Good Enough standard per task
  • ✓ AI Think-It-Through coaching chat

A real assistant, not just reminders

Most task managers send email nobody reads. Action Tether lives where you already are — and it converses. DM it in plain English: “what’s left today?”, “move the dentist thing to Friday at 2”, “remind me to water the plants every Tuesday.” It answers, acts, and confirms the risky stuff with a button before doing it. Reminders still arrive as interactive Done/Snooze messages; the morning kickoff and evening wrap bookend your day.

  • ✓ Free-form conversation — create, reschedule, complete, stop recurring, delete
  • ✓ Morning kickoff & evening wrap, in a voice that varies day to day
  • ✓ Interactive Done / Snooze buttons in-message
  • ✓ Checks in after real calendar events — “how’d coffee with Mark go?”
  • ✓ Daily digest, Weekly Wins digest, quiet hours & vacation mode
  • ✓ Code login — log in via Discord without a password

Accountability that actually works

Invite someone to be your Tether Partner. They get full Focus features for free — it's a growth mechanic and a genuine incentive to stay partnered. Send morning intentions, end-of-day wrap-ups, nudges, and celebrations. No chat, no noise — just presence and accountability.

  • ✓ Up to 2 partners per account
  • ✓ Morning intent and end-of-day check-ins
  • ✓ Nudges and celebrations
  • ✓ Partner gets Focus features free
  • ✓ Pause without ending the partnership

AI that understands neurodivergence

Choose your AI provider — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google Gemini, or xAI (Grok) — and even route different features to different models: a fast cheap model for parsing, a warmer one for coaching. AI parses natural language captures, breaks tasks into steps (first step always under 5 minutes for scary tasks), generates daily plans fitted to your schedule, and writes your Sunday Review with warmth and no shame.

  • ✓ Natural language capture parsing
  • ✓ Break into steps (ADHD-aware first-step rule)
  • ✓ AI daily plan generation
  • ✓ Sunday Review with AI reflection
  • ✓ Good-Enough standard suggestion
  • ✓ Semantic task search
  • ✓ Per-feature model routing (fast for parsing, warm for coaching)
  • ✓ Bring your own API key or use ours

Relationships are tasks too

ADHD time-blindness doesn’t just eat deadlines — it eats friendships. Add the people who matter, and Action Tether quietly tracks the gap since you last connected. When it’s been too long, you get a gentle nudge, not a guilt trip. The assistant knows who’s who: coaching about texting your sister sounds different than coaching about emailing a client.

  • ✓ Per-person check-in cadence and nudges
  • ✓ Relationship-aware coaching tone
  • ✓ Post-event follow-ups tied to your calendar
  • ✓ Set up a person entirely in chat — no forms required

It remembers your week

Most AI forgets you between messages. Action Tether’s assistant keeps a private weekly journal of how things actually went — what got stuck, what moved, how your energy ran — and carries yesterday’s conversation into today’s. It also pays attention to what you ignore: dismiss the morning check-in enough times and it switches to a quieter mode instead of nagging harder.

  • ✓ Weekly self-journal the assistant writes and uses
  • ✓ Yesterday’s thread carries into today
  • ✓ Adaptive tactics — it backs off when you tune out
  • ✓ Yours alone: export it or wipe it anytime
